One full assessment, one nurses’ note, one self-evaluation, one formal paper, and one pharmacology exam.  What are all these things you ask?  All things that were due/held on Monday.  What did we do instead of work on them over the weekend?  We, with my roommate and her boyfriend, took a road trip to Chicago on Saturday!  And, it was totally worth it!! We started out the day about 8 am, getting to Chicago about 10 am (There was an hour time change, don’t worry mom.  We didn’t speed.  No, not us.)  The first thing we did was check out the Buckingham Fountain, which wasn’t on.  Then, we headed to Millenium Park, with the awesome bean!! (Be sure to check out some pictures below.  More will be added to our gallery eventually!)  Then, we walked downtown.  Did some window shopping.  Then, took the L to Navy Pier.  We really enjoyed Navy Pier.  We didn’t ride the famous ferris wheel – neither of us are a huge fan of them – but we did walk the pier.  We went to the top of the parking garage and got some pretty good pictures of the skyline!  After the pier, we scoped out where we’d eat dinner.  Then, went to check out Chi Town’s Chinatown.  FYI:  I have only been to NYC once.  However, one of my favorite parts is Chinatown.  If you have these same feelings for Chinatown in NYC, particularly due to the knock-off purses, then do NOT go to Chicago’s Chinatown.  They do not have but maybe one store with these purses.  And that one store does not negotiate their prices.  Okay, okay, enough of that.  After Chinatown, we took the L and a walk over to Lincoln Park.  I really like zoos!  By the time we made it over, the zoo was closed and all of our “dogs were barking.”  But, I think it’s definitely a place we’d go back to visit.  If you don’t know, Lincoln Park Zoo is free!!  Definitely worth the visit if you’re around Chicago!  After that, we went back to the car to get our clothes for dinner.  We changed clothes in a coffee shop’s bathroom!  :)   Then, we went to dinner at the Grand Lux Cafe.  If you are ever looking for a place to eat in Chicago, it was fabulous.  They had so many things on the menu and a pretty formal environment with reasonable prices.  (And, it was the best steak I have had in a LONG time!)  Save room for the dessert menu if you go!  I think it’s safe to say that all four of us were exhausted by the end of the night.  But, it was definitely way fun!!

P.S. For those of you wondering – No worries, I got all of my assignments done and feel pretty confident that I did well on my exam.  My wonderful, and really cute fiance, quizzed me quite in depth.  He’s gonna be a pretty good teammate. :)
